Bandai Hobby and Bandai Spirts are wholly-owned subsidiaries of Bandai Namco Holdings. This division produces plastic model building kits and figurines geared towards older demographics. Their main products are Gunpla. Gunpla primarily refers to mobile suit plastic model building kits from the fantasy Mobile Suite Gundam Universe. It is a shorten version of “Gundam” and “Plastic” for the popular model kits primarily produced with plastic. Since the 1980s Gunpla has evolved to includer model kit lines with licenses from various Japanese animations, Star Wars, Pokemon and other popular culture.
